Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Vietnam invites you to the Vietnam’s Business and Economics Research Conference (VBER2019) to be held on 18th – 20th July 2019 at Caravelle Saigon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The key theme of our VBER2019 Conference is “VIETNAM’s PLACE IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION”.
VBER2019 is the premier Vietnamese conference for academics, policymakers, practitioners, and postgraduate students. This year, we welcome a world-class keynote speaker, Professor Michael McAleer from Asia University, one of the most prestigious private universities in Taiwan; Erasmus University Rotterdam, a highly ranked, international research university; and the University of Sydney, Australia’s elite university. VBER2019 Conference welcomes Professor Tim Barmby from University of Newcastle upon Tyne (United Kingdom), a prestigious world-leading university and Professor Chia-Lin Chang from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. In addition, VBER2019 Conference invites Professor Zhaoyong Zhang from Edith Cowan University, Australia. In particular, a special session for research students and early career researchers is scheduled during the VBER2019 Conference with the presence of world-class professors and senior academics as the discussants/advisors. We are also planning a special session for research students to share research ideas and any research topic is welcome in this session.
Ten papers from VBER2019 Conference will be considered for publication in the Journal of Risk and Financial Management; and another six papers will be considered for Annals of Financial Economics, the ISI-indexed journals. Dr Duc Vo and Professor Chia-Lin Chang will be the guest editors. Other papers will be considered for publication in Journal of Reviews in Global Economics and Advances in Decision Sciences, Scopus indexed journals. Other journals including the European Journal of International Management, and International Journal of Emerging Markets, both SSCI-indexed journals, will also publish selected papers from VBER2019 Conference.
For papers presented at the VBER2017 and VBER2018 Conferences, please be advised that 10 papers have now been published in the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (SSCI journal). Another 6 papers have been under review (under revision stage) for the same journal. 8 papers have also been under review for the Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies (ISI journal).
